Watchers Corrupted Humanity

In the tradition Jude is drawing on, the Watchers did two things, and we usually remember only one.
The first is the one Genesis 6 reports: they took human wives, and the offspring were not ordinary. The second is the one 1 Enoch dwells on at length - they taught. The list in 1 Enoch 8 is oddly specific: swords, knives, shields and breastplates; then bracelets, ornamentation, eye paint, precious stones, colouring tinctures and alchemy; then incantation and the cutting of roots. Weapons, appearance and sorcery.
That is why the flood follows. The problem was not only a bloodline. It was a corruption of the world humans had been given to steward.
