Unseen Realm - Supernatural Worldview

The Bible asks us to read its descriptions of the unseen world according to its own perspective. It operates on the assumption that a spiritual reality exists and is populated with beings. Yet, even within this framework, the Scriptures consistently present Yahweh as the incomparable King, sovereign over all.
This understanding is crucial because it helps us interpret biblical terms like “elohim” and “holy ones.” These terms name the residents of the spiritual world, acknowledging their existence without in any way diminishing or denying the absolute uniqueness of Yahweh. The Bible portrays a populated heavenly realm, but it steadfastly maintains that no heavenly being can ever be compared to the Lord; He remains utterly supreme.
This biblical worldview, rooted in passages such as Psalm 89:5-7, which declares, "Let the heavens praise your wonders, O LORD... a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones," intends to intensify your worship of Yahweh. It emphasizes that while there are other spiritual entities, none possess His power, His majesty, or His authority. Recognizing the existence of a spiritual world, and Yahweh’s supreme position within it, should deepen your reverence and adoration for Him, not compete with it.
