Turn And Live

Cast away all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?
Two things worth keeping straight here.
The imperative is addressed to a group, and the offer is open - the message that you can still repent is going out to a whole people, not a select few.
And the subject is life in the land, not the afterlife. Heiser is explicit that eternal life is never mentioned in this chapter. It is not about earning your way to heaven.
