Sodom's Sin: Cosmic Disorder

Ask what Jude is actually accusing Sodom of and the answer is larger than the one usually given.
In his argument Sodom is a human analogue to what the Watchers did. The Watchers were heavenly beings who took what belonged to earth. Sodom was a human city reaching for what belonged to heaven. In both cases something crossed a line that was drawn when the world was made. Heiser's framing is that the horror is the disordering itself - the collapse of a boundary God established - and that reading Jude 7 as a comment on appetite alone loses the argument he is making.
