Nicaea Did Not Rewrite the Bible

The Council of Nicaea in AD 325 did not gather to rewrite the Bible or invent its books.
Its central controversy concerned the identity of the Son in relation to the Father. The recognition of the biblical canon developed across time, and Christian communities were reading apostolic writings long before Nicaea.
There were genuine discussions around certain books, and Christian traditions still differ over portions of the Old Testament canon. That history deserves honest study.
But it is not the story of an emperor creating Scripture in one secret meeting.
