Misread 25: Angel Obsession

Angels serve a vital function in God's divine plan, yet they should invariably direct your focus and devotion towards the Lord Himself, rather than diverting it away from Him. The scriptures consistently portray these celestial beings as instruments of God's will and power, not as objects of worship in their own right.
The New Testament letter to the Hebrews describes angels as "ministering spirits sent out to serve," explicitly clarifying their role as servants in God's redemptive purposes, as seen in Hebrews 1:13-14. Similarly, Psalm 103:20-21 praises them as "mighty ones who do his word" and "ministers, who do his will," emphasizing their obedience and subservience to the Almighty. Crucially, in Revelation 22:8-9, when the apostle John attempts to worship an angel, he is sternly rebuked with the instruction, "You must not do that!... Worship God." This unmistakable command underscores that worship is reserved for God alone.
Understanding this scriptural truth means recognizing that while angels are powerful and play significant roles, they are never to be the center of our spiritual attention or adoration. Their existence and actions are always for God's glory and to advance His purposes.
