Lament for Lost Beauty

Ezekiel writes a lament for Tyre and makes the city into a ship - built of the best of everything, sailed by the best of everyone. The sources call it the Good Ship Tyre, the place where the world traded.
And the boast in verse 3 is largely conceded. I am perfect in beauty. That was kind of true; there was nothing else like her.
Which is what makes the structure work. The chapter builds the ship in loving detail so that it can be wrecked in the closing verses - and the whole thing is setting up chapter 28.
