Jude's Use of Enoch Common

It is easy to treat Jude as the odd one out - the small letter that quotes a strange book. The evidence does not support that.
Peter follows the Watcher story from 1 Enoch in 1 Peter 3. He uses 1 Enoch 10's language verbatim in 2 Peter 2:4 - chains of gloomy darkness, kept until judgment. Revelation's lake of fire draws conceptually on 1 Enoch 10-21. Matthew has fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Jude is the only one who names his source. He is not the only one using it.

Jude did not smuggle something foreign into the New Testament. He cited out loud what the others were assuming.
