John 2:19 declares, “Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”” This powerful statement, initially misunderstood by those who heard it, reveals a profound truth about God's presence and the nature of holiness. Through Christ, we have direct access to the Father. Our bodies, as temples of the Holy Spirit, are now the places where God's presence resides, enabling us to live lives of holiness and worship wherever we are. This calls us to a profound reverence for our own bodies and the lives we live, recognizing that we carry the very presence of God within us. Our worship is no longer confined to rituals but is expressed through our entire existence, as we walk in the Spirit and reflect the glory of the New Temple, Jesus Christ, to a world in need of His transformative power.
