Horn Symbol of Power

On that day I will cause a horn to spring up for the house of Israel.
A horn in Scripture means strength, and the phrase here echoes Psalm 132: there I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed.
Heiser raises the messianic reading without forcing it. It might be messianic. It could equally be a more general reference to the restoration of the Davidic dynasty, or to Ezekiel's own preaching about Israel's future. He leaves the options open rather than closing them.
