Hermon: Divine Abode

The psalmist says he remembers God from the land of Jordan and of Hermon, from Mount Mizar. Then: deep calls to deep at the roar of your waterfalls.
These are not scenic details. Heiser treats them as cosmic mountains - and the geography is pointed, because the heights of the north were Baal's address, and here Tabor and Hermon are associated with Yahweh instead.
Deep calls to deep is the same kind of language. One scholar quoted in the sources reads it as the two tehoms, the cosmic oceans, meeting in the region of the upper Jordan beside a mountain whose summit was thought to reach the first heaven.
