God's Dwelling in Us

Do you not know that you are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
Most readers hear that as a statement about themselves. Paul is not speaking individually here. The context is division in the church, and the you is plural - the sources are firm that this is the corporate reality, the church. The individual version arrives later, at 6:19.
Read alongside Ezekiel it lands harder. The glory left the temple in stages and stood on the mountain east of the city. At Pentecost the same presence moves into a people rather than a building.
