God Is Not Scrambling

I will spread my net over him, and he shall be taken in my snare. The image is a hunt, and God is the hunter.
The verse describes the Babylonian invasion and the capture of the Davidic king - and the sources are clear this is under God's control, not a disaster he is reacting to. The king will try to escape. It will not work.
The prophecy is unusually specific: he will be brought to Babylon, yet he shall not see it. Zedekiah was blinded at Riblah before he got there.
