The Attributes of God: Rationality

The second attribute God shares with us is rationality - the ability to reason.
This says God is a sentient being. He is self-aware. He has a mind. Scripture is not shy about it: Paul asks who has known the mind of the Lord, and elsewhere says we have the mind of Christ. God has thoughts, and the Psalms and the prophets refer to them directly.
There is a further clue in the fact that God has a will. He wills things to be, or not to be. Willing is something only a rational being does.
We are like him here - we have minds and thoughts too. But keep the proportion right. Our capacities are far below his. God himself draws the line: my thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways. Same kind of faculty. Nothing like the same scale.
