The Attributes of God: Omnipresence

People often picture omnipresence as God being spread thinly, a bit of him here and a bit there, covering the universe like a gas.
That is not the claim. Omnipresence means God is everywhere present in his whole being at all times. Not part of him in one place and part in another. All of him, everywhere, always.
The attribute overlaps with three we have already covered. It touches his infinity, because he has no spatial limits. It touches his incorporeality, because he is spirit and not a body occupying a spot. And it touches his immanence, because he is present everywhere in creation and among his creatures.
Psalm 139 works through the possibilities one by one and closes them all. Height and depth cannot escape him. Distance does not weaken his reach - the far side of the sea is still his hand. Darkness does not hide anything, because darkness is not dark to him.
