The Attributes of God: Creator

It is one thing to say God was never made. It is another to say that everything else was, and that he is the one who made it.
God is Creator of all things that exist - visible and invisible, material and spiritual. That last pair is the one people skip. It is not only mountains and galaxies. The unseen world was made too. Every spiritual being that Scripture ever names belongs on the created side of the line.
Nehemiah 9:6 says it about as fully as it can be said: God made heaven, the heaven of heavens with all their host, the earth and everything on it, the seas and everything in them - and he preserves all of it. The verse then lands on a claim about uniqueness: you alone are Yahweh.
So the two halves lock together. He is uncreated; everything else is his work. That is why nothing in heaven or earth is his rival. A rival would have to be something he did not make.
