If you take one thing from this series, take the word.
Elohim is a place-of-residence term. It tells you where a being is at home, not how powerful it is. Yahweh is an elohim; no other elohim is Yahweh. He made them all, and the attributes that define him are denied to every one of them.
Hold that, and four passages that get treated as problems stop being problems. Psalm 82 becomes a courtroom rather than an embarrassment. Genesis 6 stops needing a rescue. Deuteronomy 32 explains why the nations look the way they do. And John 10 makes sense as an argument rather than a dodge - Jesus reasoning from those beings to himself.
The instruction is where to begin: "Let the biblical writers define the term for you - not the Westminster Confession, not Roman Catholicism, not 21st century evangelicalism."
