This Does Not Shrink God

The worry behind every objection in this series is that admitting other elohim makes God smaller. It does the opposite, and the psalms show why by how they phrase the praise.
They do not say there is no one else. They say there is no one like him. "There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours." That is a comparison, and comparisons need something to compare against.
If Yahweh were the only being in the spiritual realm, his uniqueness would be a statistic about the population. Scripture makes it a claim about his nature - he is uncreated, he made every other occupant of that realm, and the attributes he holds are explicitly withheld from all of them.
So the picture is a populated heaven with a ranked host, thrones and dominions and authorities, every one of them made through him and for him. Not a lonely God. A God over a full house that he built.
