One Word, Five Kinds of Being

If elohim named a set of attributes, the Old Testament would be incoherent. Watch where the word actually lands.
Yahweh, thousands of times. The beings standing in the council and sentenced in Psalm 82. The gods of surrounding nations - Ashtoreth, Chemosh, Milcom, named as elohim in 1 Kings. The shedim of Deuteronomy 32:17, which your translation renders demons. And in 1 Samuel 28, the disembodied Samuel.
The obvious conclusion: "That ought to tell you that Elohim has nothing to do with a unique set of attributes. You know, your dead uncle as an Israelite was not on the same level as the God of Israel."
No biblical author thought the deceased dead shared Yahweh's power. The word was never making that claim.
