Elohim Is a Residence Term

Ask most Christians what "God" means and you get a list: all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere at once. That is how we use the English word. Hebrew writers were not using elohim that way at all.
"The word elohim is a place of residence term. Our home is the world of embodiment; elohim by nature inhabit the spiritual world."
So it does not describe what a thing is - its powers, its attributes. It describes where a thing belongs. The term classifies by realm, not by resume. Every member of the spiritual world can be called elohim, because the word tells you where an entity is at home.
Which is why the same word lands on beings that could not possibly share one set of attributes.
