Gehenna Is Eschatological

Revelation 20:10 states, "and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." This verse vividly describes the ultimate destination for the devil, the beast, and the false prophet: a place of eternal torment. This "lake of fire and sulfur" is not a temporary holding cell, but a final, irreversible judgment. It signifies a complete and utter separation from God's presence and goodness.
