Crossover to Realm of the Dead

“On that day I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea. It will block the travelers. There Gog and all his hordes will be buried. It will be called the Valley of Hamon-gog.” (Ezekiel 39:11, ESV). This verse, nestled within the prophetic judgment against Gog, speaks of a designated place for utter defeat and burial. The Hebrew term rendered as "Travelers" (עֹבְרִים, 'oberim) implies a journey or passage, and in this context, it takes on a profound significance. It is not merely a geographic location but suggests a place associated with transition, often understood as a crossing into the realm of the dead. For Gog, this valley marks the end of his earthly dominion and the beginning of his eternal demise. This divinely appointed gravesite underscores the finality of God's judgment and the inescapable consequences of opposing His divine will. 
The mention of the “Valley of the Travelers” in Ezekiel evokes ancient Near Eastern conceptualizations of the afterlife and the movement of souls.
