Everything counts as worship

This verse sits immediately before Paul's instructions about the household, and it frames everything that follows.
Gratitude towards Jesus, who is supreme over every other power, is what shapes how a believer behaves. Paul does not split life into sacred parts and ordinary parts. Word and deed, all of it, is done in his name.
