Shadow or substance

Food rules, festivals, new moons and Sabbaths are not condemned here. Paul calls them a shadow, and a shadow is cast by something real. The substance is Christ.
The danger he names next is being disqualified by people insisting on severe treatment of the body and the worship of angels, going into detail about their visions. The problem is not that they are too spiritual. It is that they have let go of the Head.
