Unseen Realm 13: Abraham Answer To Babel

"Go from your country… and I will make of you a great nation… and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed" (Genesis 12:1-3). This command from God to Abraham and the accompanying promise signify God's intention to bless all the diverse families of the earth through this one man and his descendants. The interconnected statement, "Scripture… preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, In you shall all the nations be blessed" (Galatians 3:8), clearly links Abraham's election with a universal divine purpose to extend blessing to every nation on the planet. This promise culminates in the future vision where "A great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…" (Revelation 7:9-10) worships God, illustrating the ultimate fulfillment of the commitment made to Abraham.
The narrative of Babel in Genesis 11 describes humanity's united rebellion against God's command to fill and subdue the earth.
