Divine Council: Litmus Test for True Prophets

Jeremiah gives a test for telling a true prophet from a false one, and it has nothing to do with sincerity.
The question he asks is this: who among them has stood in the council of the LORD? A true prophet has been in the throne room. He has heard the deliberation and been commissioned out of it. A false prophet speaks from his own imagination and calls it revelation.
That is why the prophetic call scenes look the way they do. Isaiah sees the throne. Ezekiel sees the chariot. Micaiah watches the council debate. The commission is a council meeting.
