Targeted Kherem: Eliminating Nephilim Bloodlines

Joshua 11 tells you how the conquest was scored. When the account sums up, the measure of victory is that no Anakim were left in the land of Israel.
That is a strange way to summarise a war, unless the Anakim were the point. Numbers 13 places them across Canaan, and the giant clans are what these accounts keep naming.
Two qualifications the sources insist on. First, this is not a claim that only giants died - others were certainly slain. Second, the criterion is not ethnicity. Rahab lives. The Gibeonites live. Uriah the Hittite serves in David's army.
And the work was left unfinished. Some remained in Gaza, Gath and Ashdod - which is precisely where the Philistine giants turn up later.
