Nephilim Descendants: The Context of Ancient Warfare

The spies come back from Canaan saying they saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak. The text makes the connection itself - the Anakim, the giant clan of Canaan, are tied back to the Nephilim of Genesis 6.
Deuteronomy fills in the map. The Emim in Moab, a people as tall as the Anakim. The Zamzummim in Ammon. The Rephaim across the Transjordan. These are named clans in known places, not rumours.
And notice who cleared some of them. Deuteronomy says the descendants of Esau and Lot displaced the giants in the Transjordan before Israel ever arrived. The pattern is not ethnic. It is targeted at a specific problem in specific places.
