The Son of Man's Everlasting Dominion

Daniel sees thrones placed - plural - and the Ancient of Days takes his seat. It is a court in session, and what is being decided is the fate of the beasts.
Then one like a son of man comes with the clouds and is given dominion, glory and a kingdom that shall not pass away.
Two things are worth holding together. The dominion is everlasting, and from Daniel's vantage point it is still future. The court has convened, the handover has been announced, and the beasts have not yet been cleared away.
