When Giants Acted Like Wild Beasts

The narrative of "giants" in certain ancient texts portrays them not merely as large beings, but as creatures driven by extreme violence and insatiable gluttony. These accounts describe them as slaughtering human beings not only in combat, but also to consume them, an act that starkly transgressed all established norms and boundaries of human interaction.
These portrayals extend beyond the general wickedness described in Genesis 6:5-7, where "The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." The giants' actions, particularly their consumption of human flesh, represent a profound violation. Furthermore, their predatory behavior toward the animal kingdom also violated the pre-diluvian dietary restrictions given by God in Genesis 1:29-30.
