Archangels as Intercessors and Record Keepers

In 1 Enoch's Book of the Watchers - a Second Temple Jewish text, not part of Scripture - four archangels named Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel look down, see the violence the Watchers and their giant offspring have caused on earth, and bring the crisis before God (1 Enoch 9). The Bible itself doesn't name these four or narrate this specific scene, but it does affirm the underlying idea: heavenly beings interceding before God on behalf of what happens on earth. Job 33:23 speaks generally of "an angel, a mediator." Daniel 7:9-10 pictures the same courtroom: "thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat... the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened."
This matters because Scripture and its wider Jewish context both affirm the same thing: the spiritual realm isn't detached from human suffering - it's actively engaged, bringing what happens on earth before God's throne.
