Daniel says many who sleep in the dust will awake - some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
Two outcomes, one event. In Jewish expectation this was corporate and final: everyone rises together at the last day. Not a series of private departures, but one public resolution.
And the timing tells you what it is for. The resurrection comes at the very end of history, when God brings every form of corruption to an end. Final judgment is not God losing his temper. It is God finishing something.
