Bible Connections 23: Judge Angels

Paul asks the Corinthians whether they do not know that we are to judge angels. He drops it into an argument about petty lawsuits, as though it settles the matter.
The likely sense is not that believers will referee celestial disputes. It is the displacing of the fallen sons of God - the beings handed the nations at Babel. Glorified believers take the seats those rulers vacated.
That is why inheritance and rule travel together in the New Testament, and why Revelation promises authority over the nations to the one who overcomes.
A note on framing: the sources present this as inheritance rather than as training. The weight falls on what you are being given, not on a programme you are passing through.
