Acts Theology 37: Pentecost Validation

Tongues in Acts certify inclusion.
Tongues in Acts function as public validation of inclusion. Pentecost marks Jewish believers, Cornelius's household marks Gentiles, and Acts 19 marks disciples brought into Jesus' name. Luke uses these moments to show one Spirit forming one people across boundaries.
This matters because tongues in Acts are not private status markers. They certify that the same Spirit includes new groups in Messiah's people.
