Acts Theology 36: Times of Ignorance

The resurrection ends the times of ignorance.
In Acts 17, resurrection ends the times of ignorance by announcing a fixed day of judgment through the man God raised. Paul does not leave natural revelation as the final word. The Creator now commands all people everywhere to repent because the risen Jesus is the appointed judge.
This matters because resurrection creates public accountability. The gospel calls the nations out of ignorance into repentance before the risen Judge.
