Acts Theology 1: New Covenant Spirit

Ezekiel 36:26-27 further elaborates on this, promising a "new heart" and God's Spirit "within you." This process begins the reclamation of all nations for God, with believers empowered by the Spirit to carry out this mission. The apostles understood their task to have a definite finish line, indicating an expectation of an imminently returning Christ, driven by the Spirit to bring in the "fullness of the Gentiles." This continuous mission, inherited by believers today, underscores the importance of ongoing witness and functioning as God's reconstituted family in the world.
